Thank you! Due to a phenomenal response from the community and our region’s schools, we are thrilled to announce Remake Learning Education Friday is SOLD OUT. We are excited to have over 1,500 Students and Educators joining us at Maker Faire Pittsburgh on this special day!

Where: Buhl Community Park and Nova Place (formerly Allegheny Center) On Pittsburgh’s Historic Northside
Give kids an up-close look at the creative, inspiring and innovative world of making through hands-on activities, demonstrations and workshops. As leaders in the Maker Movement, we are dedicated to celebrating and inspiring Makers. This day offers an excellent opportunity to engage kids in the Maker Movement and have a hands-on experience in the world of making. Remake Learning Education Friday allows students and teachers to visit unguided through the world of Making.
Students who come to Remake Learning Education Friday will:
- Meet, interact, and converse with individual Makers, who are sharing their unique passions
- Become exposed to the wide breadth of art, science, engineering, history, and interdisciplinary subject areas that all involve making
- Experience live demonstrations
- Engage in hands-on workshops and activities, resulting in a project to take home
- Become exposed to, and feel welcomed and supported in, the Maker community
- Be inspired with at least one new idea to try at home or in school
- Feel excited to make every day a making day, and to return the next day!
Tickets to Remake Learning Education Day will be free of charge for all schools and community organizations for students Grades 2-12. Registration for Remake Learning Education Day tickets will begin on August 15, 2016 and end October 1. Pre-Registration is required and based on availability.
Students will receive voucher for a free One Day Pass to the Faire October 15-16. One Accompanying Adult will receive a discount of $3 with student voucher (given on the day). Voucher must be presented at the Door. Remake Learning Education Friday or Maker Faire Pittsburgh tickets do not include admission to the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh.
Students and Chaperones need to bring own lunch, as lunch will not be provided. Times and locations of lunch to be provided day of during check-in.
For Grades 2-5, we require 1 chaperone per 5 children . For Grades 6-12, we require 1 chaperone per 7 children.
Our complete, detailed list of Makers will be available beginning of September.
Maker Faire Pittsburgh is offering a certain number of scholarships for transportation reimbursement to Remake Learning Education Friday. To see if your school qualifies, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
ALERT! A new weight restriction prevents buses and trucks from using the West Ohio Street Bridge in Allegheny Commons Park traveling toward the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh. Violators may be cited. Click here for more info.
