Maker Faire Pittsburgh 2016 was full of creative and innovative people and projects.  Some areas of particular interest to educators included:

  • The Education Zone featuring presentations and workshops by local and national leaders sharing their experiences and expertise in the field of maker education.
  • The Pedal-Powered  Main Stage with informative panels and talks on topics such as the Next Generation of Youth Game Makers, Makerspaces and the Maker Movement, Its Roots and Future moderated by Andrew Coy, Senior Advisor for Making from the White House’s Office of Science and Technology Policy.
  • Workshop Zone with talks on Making in the Virtual Classroom and Youth Entrepreneurship.
