Participants will be designing their own rockets out of cardboard, construction paper, and plastic bottles. Then the students will try and use dry ice and water as a fuel sources to launch their rocket This fuel source will help teach the students about gas expansion and pressure.
The Citizen Science Lab is a hands-on laboratory where inquisitive minds and science-enthusiasts can explore the life sciences! The Citizen Science Lab is open to everyone—from middle and high school students, to parents and educators, to undergraduate and graduate students, to professionals and DIY scientists. We invite the citizens of Pittsburgh to observe, experiment and analyze through discovery-based learning and STEAM education.
