Young children and parents will work together to create a Mondrian-inspired work of art. Parents will assist children in using black washi tape to section off squares or rectangles. By assisting their parents in taping off the paper, children will build their fine motor skills. Once the tape is on the paper, parents and children will use stickers, dot markers, and sponge stipplers dipped in paint. Early learners will be introduced to rulers as a measurement tool and practice counting. This activity can be easily repeated at home after Maker Faire!
