Exhibit: Operating an Amateur Radio Station

At this station we have a High Frequency, Very High Frequency, and Ultra High Frequency set up. What this means is you can talk to anyone from the immediate area to potentially halfway across the world all through the power of radio waves. Through this station you'll also learn how to operate a radio station, "browse the bands," and the basic science behind radio communication.

In times of disaster when communications go out, amateur radio will still be up and running. This is because with the simplest form of amateur radio there is no middle man, it is simply point to point communication through the air from one person to another.

We'll even be able to give you pointers if you wanted to start building your own station in your room.

Exhibit Location: unassigned
