The Center for Innovation and Creativity in Education is designed to provide a learning environment for students, teachers and administrators to experience state of the art spaces, tools and processes. Each element of the center provides a high level of flexibility and can be utilized in a variety of instructional environments. The CenterICE exhibit will feature a hands-on experience designed to give participants an opportunity to interact with some of the most exciting educational tools available. Build an electronic device with littleBits, learn to operate our Edison robots or make something cool with MakeDo. You are certain to find an engaging activity to explore. Come join us and play!

The Westmoreland Intermediate Unit Center for Innovation and Creativity in Education is designed to serve as a catalyst for remaking learning in our region. CenterICE is a state-of-the-art collaborative initiative that provides a much needed space for students, teachers and administrators to learn new strategies and techniques required to meet the demands of our students.With a focus on innovation and creativity, the facility is an active learning environment with hands-on training and work spaces that allow all participants to work with new technologies and processes. Project based learning and team building strategies are employed to create an environment that fosters collaboration as well as an entrepreneurial spirit.
